Who Are You? What Are You Doing?

Personal and Group Reflection

Print PDF
In this issue, our masthead features a quotation from Kathleen Norris's writing: "Prayer is not asking for what you think you want, but asking to be changed in ways you can't imagine."

Questions for discussion:

  • What does Norris mean when she says, "[Prayer} ... is asking to be changed in ways you can't imagine"?

Pray the Our Father: When we pray the Our Father we say, "thy will be done."

  • What is the Lord's will for us?
  • How can we pray this prayer and really mean it?
  • Why has the Our Father been called the perfect prayer and the best of prayers
Editor's Note: Kathleen Norris's most recent book is entitled Acedia and Me, published by Penguin Group (USA). "Google" Kathleen Norris and/or Acedia and Me for more information about this spiritual writer. You will find many resources for yourself and/or for your SCC.

You may want to watch Ralph Abernathy of PBS interview Norris.
